Bestie Easter Basket & Recent Obsessions
Hello Everyone! New look and feel in the works! I am open to any thoughts you have as my new format changes, again trying new things!! I am thinking I want the newsletter to be more of a zine or digital magazine in a way? Still trying things out :) thank you for sticking around.
I hope you all have been doing lovely. Easter is right around the corner, and as we know, I love a holiday moment. I recently shared my ‘Bestie Easter Basket’ Ideas on TikTok. I absolutely love putting together gift baskets, so I used some of my favorite brands/favorite packaging to create something (hopefully) inspiring. Here’s a glimpse!

There’s so many products I would love to include, but I used what I had/currently utilize so I did not break my bank (I didn’t need to treat myself significantly, I’m still in money saving mode!).
Some other items that would be fun to add: Crown Affair, Laneige Lip Masks, Rhode, Billie Razors, Coffee, Books, Antique Finds, Hand Towels, Baking Supplies.
I had a request on TikTok for a Rhode review (hi Mia!) and so let me tell ya’ll. I ordered myself the vanilla birthday cake with peptide glaze set for my birthday when Hailey launched it for her birthday month, and at first I loved it (I still love the peptide glaze). However, that was in 2022, and a few months ago I went to use it and it was superrr grainy (I was fearful this would happen after I read some reviews). Maybe I should have used it up quicker, but the tube also began to discolor and a layer of film rubbed off the packaging which was also sad and made it look dirty haha. I ordered the espresso tinted version this year, and love that one - have yet to have any issues! Very cute packaging and product in theory :) Maybe Hailey changed her formula to avoid the grain.

OTHER NEWS
In other news, I am buying a scanner from FB Marketplace to start making some collages. This will be the highlight of my week lol! I am still in the trenches because Wisconsin was hit with more snow, so I am trying to stay positive and work on some new artsy projects. I am thinking about starting to highlight more of my random creative projects on here and on TT in order to inspire creation over consumption. I also have a few house updates in the works, including the fact my windows were delivered! They are giant, I can not wait to see them installed. It will be a few weeks yet/have to get everything ready first but they are gonna transform the place. They definitely did some damage to the wallet.
DOWN THE HATCH
I have been super fixated on making the greek meatballs I featured here a few weeks back BUT…
This week I am making my absolute favorite salad (as featured above in my favorite Spring things TikTok).
Shredded Carrot Salad
Shred fresh large carrots into a large bowl, add your desired amount of fresh butter lettuce, and top it off with pickled red onions and parsley if desired.
Dressing: Apple cider vinegar (I use this! 10/10), equal part olive oil, juice of a fresh lemon, splash of maple syrup, dash of garlic powder or fresh minced garlic, 1 tsp dijon mustard, salt and pepper to taste.
I make my dressing as I go, adding more or less depending on the taste I want.
